Eligible families enrolled in Ready for Success receive the following services
ALL CHILDREN IN READY FOR SUCCESS
RFS offers a variety of resources for your child, including:
» Medical, dental, mental health, vision, nutrition, and social services;
» Early Intervention and special education services; and
» Developmental screenings, assessment, and intervention.
RFS offers programs for expecting mothers to provide support through pregnancy stages.
CHILDREN FROM BIRTH TO AGE 3
Enrolled families receive weekly home visits with a Family Support Specialist who will offer guidance in child development and educational growth along with twice-monthly family events offering education and parent-child activity time.
CHILDREN AGES 3 TO 5
Enjoy enrollment in TOPS (Teaching Our Preschoolers) Preschool, a play-based kindergarten-readiness program located in District 69’s Madison Elementary School. Monthly parent groups and quarterly family events will also be offered to meet other parents and gain ideas that support children’s learning at home.
ALL PARENTS AND FAMILIES ENROLLED IN READY FOR SUCCESS
RFS offers support for your child’s early learning and meaningful opportunities to build relationships with other families, including:
» Parent education, networking, and leadership groups;
» Family nights;
» Informative newsletters parents and caregivers can learn from;
» A lending library stocked with great books and resources for parents;
» Coordinated, one-time registration between the home visiting and preschool program to ensure an easy and smooth transition to the classroom; and
» On-going assistance through referrals and connections to other agencies and programs offering valuable support for families.
